Information for participants
I prepared the following information to help you decide if this type of therapy suits your needs. If you still have doubts or questions after reading these lines, feel free to contact me.
The first session
You are welcome to a first session free of charge and without obligation to continue. We will look at your needs and expectations or questions you may have about the therapeutic process.
If we feel that this is the right form of therapy for you, we can make a plan for regular sessions.
However, keep in mind, that for any therapy to work, a minimum number of sessions is required. After all, art therapy is all about building trust and finding new ways of communication and expression!
Individual or Group
It depends on your personal circumstances and how you feel. I invite you for a first FREE consultation where I can explain you the posibilities. Feel free to contact me when you are ready!
Number of Sessions
A typical first cycle comprises of 12 to 16 sessions of 60 minutes for indivinduals and 90-105 minutes for groups depending on the number of participants. A second cycle can follow depending on each person's needs and the progress already made.
I expect most participants to leave the first cycle with a better self awareness in particular related to their problem. This self awareness will set the basis for further exploration and personal work.
Insurance cover & costs
Art Therapy is a complementary practice ("pratique complementaire"). The compensation of the costs of Art Therapy sessions depends on the insurance cover of each individual.
Do I need a prescription?
No prescription is required because art therapy is in fact a "pratique complementaire" that does not interfere with your medical treatment (if any). Howerver, certain insurance companies may require a coupon of delegation ("bon de delegation") from your doctor.
If you think art therapy can be helpful, you can contact me for a first session FREE of charge!
I will then inform you about your options and may be able to give you information material.
